“Sweet Dress!” Literally, an Eco-Friendly Prom Dress Made of Starburst Wrappers

It is prom season. This is an exciting and stressful time for many highschool students. For girls who are still trying to find that perfect dress, be unique and think eco. That is exactly what Tara Frey from River Falls, Wisconsin did. She made her dress completely out of Starburst candy wrappers! Talk about a sweet dress!

Tara’s mom started making the dress six years ago and they have been collecting wrappers ever since. It will certainly be a one of a kind piece. Coincidentally, the theme of her prom is “Candy Land.” I wonder what her wedding dress will be made out of. Hmmm…..

I absolutely love Ecoist. (http://www.ecoist.com/) They sell really fun and classy candy/food wrapper, newspaper, magazine and pull-tab clutches, purses and more. They do an amazing job of reusing products and thinking green. Check them out!
